main corridors, each incorporating a linear clerestory or light monitor to bring in
natural light. Major community use spaces such as the 400 seat auditorium, gym and
cafeteria are located along the perimeter. |

Mission 9th Grade Center
Mission, TX
This center is designed for
two-level classroom wings including administration, library, fully equipped
kitchen/dining, and gym. The project includes off-site utility extension, student and
staff parking with separate parent and bus drop-off areas. This school is capable of an
enrollment of 1,250 and is expandable. |

Roma High School
Roma, TX
This high school for 1,500
students is located on a 50 acre campus and has an adjacent sports complex with a lighted
football field, a baseball diamond and a tennis court. A vehicle maintenance facility
services the entire school district's fleet. A classroom wing was added in 1993. |

Rowe High School
McAllen, TX
Rowe High School is designed
for a maximum enrollment of 2,500 students, ninth through twelfth grades. This facility
contains a 300 seat auditorium, a library, music and vocational facilities, a seven lane
natatorium, a gymnasium and outdoor tennis courts. This is a two-story facility with brick
and stucco exteriors and has vaulted roofs which emulate the regional architecture. |

McAuliffe Elementary
McAllen, TX
Designed in regional Spanish
Architecture, the McAuliffe Elementary School contains 41 classrooms for 528 Pre-K through
third grade students. It is named in honor of Sharon Christa McAuliffe, the teacher aboard
the ill-fated shuttle Challenger. The school's hallways have Space and Aviation wall
murals to commemorate her and Texas' involvement in Space Exploration. |

DeLeon Junior High
McAllen, TX
This facility is designed for
1,250 students. A centrally located courtyard provides natural light to the learning
resource center, concourse, athletic, and administration areas. Athletic facilities
include practice fields and tennis courts. Traffic circulation allows for separate access
to the school from the staff parking area, bus drop-off and parent drop-off. |

Marine Military Academy
Harlingen, TX
The building types of this
project include remodeling of classroom building and five barracks, as well as the new
construction of a Library / Auditorium, a Math / Science Center, a Cadet Services Center,
an Academic Center, adminstrative offices, cadet activities center, drill sergeants'
townhouse and the Chosin Few Memorial Gate. |

Memorial High School
McAllen, TX
As part of a new high school
designed for McAllen ISD, this turntable divisible auditorium seats 514 people with fixed
seating for 250. Two portions revolve 180 degees and become lecture rooms. It also
includes a full fly-loft working stage, projection booth, two catwalks, green and
dressing rooms, scene shops, storage and mechanical areas. |

Escandon Elementary
La Joya, TX
Building from a prototype to
reduce construction costs, the entrance canopy, brick color and patterns were changed to
ensure a unique quality for this school. It serves 800 students and includes
administration areas, a learning resource center, special programs classrooms and
cafeteria with full service kitchen. |
