MIKE WELLS
Mr. Wells is the
Principal-in-Charge of the Early Childhood Studio. He has been the
Principal-in-Charge and Project Director for
the childcare facilities that this firm has completed for federal, state,
corporate, and university clients. Mr. Wells has led feasibility
studies, site evaluation studies, and managed the design of both new
facilities and renovation projects.
Mr. Wells is active as a
member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), serving the Dallas
Chapter of the AIA as President (1998) and Community Services
Commissioner. From 1992 through 2000, he served the State of Texas on the
Advisory Committee to the Work/Family Clearinghouse of the Texas Workforce
Commission. He is a frequent speaker on issues related to architecture for
child and youth care, the National Association for the Education of
Young Children, and the National Coalition for Campus Child Care Centers.
He has served as guest faculty for the Harvard Graduate School of Design
Child Care Design Institute (2000, 2001, 2002), and is a Board Member of
the Children's Environmental Health Institute. |
